Getting there from:

Dover and Folkestone

Crossing via Dover or Folkestone, you might want to head towards Paris on the A1/E15. Follow signs for Paris and then Bordeaux. This will take you around the Boulevard Periferique and out onto the A6 to the west of Paris. From there keep following signs for Bordeaux and then Cleremont Ferrand. At this point you should be on the A10 and then the A71. Continue following Cleremont passing through the city on the motorway and then head towards Montpellier on the A75.

Leave the A75 at exit 28 and head towards St-Flour then follow the instructions from Saint-Flour

.

Newhaven and Portsmouth

From Le Havre/Dieppe follow signs for Rouen and then Evreux, Le Mans, Dreux towards Orleans via A10. Take A71 following Cleremont Ferrand passing through the city centre and on to the A75 towards Montpellier. Leave A75 at Exit 28 and follow the route from Saint-Flour.

South of France

From the south of France head north on A75 towards Cleremont Ferrand, pass over the Millau viaduct (the €5.60 toll is worth it if only for the view) leaving exit 29 St-Flour and then follow the instructions from St-Flour

Saint-Flour

Follow the signs for D909/D921 Chaudes-Aigues and pass through the town heading south. Continue about 15km and take the turning for Neuveglise. Take the main route through the town following the signs for Camping, passing the Central Hotel on the right and the boulangerie on the left. Take a left turn after the bakery passing the entrance to the Camping Municapal and keep heading south following signs for FFN and La Taillade. You will pass by La Bastide before arriving at the entrance to La Taillade with the farm in front of you. Take the track on the left which follows the hill towards the camping. In the distance you will see the camping entrace and the flags.

You can get yourself a printed map from ViaMichelin. Enter your port of entry into France in the departure field, setting the start and destination country to France. Enter La Taillade as the city in the destination field. Press search and choose Cantal - Neuveglise for the destination. This route will take you all the way to La Taillade via Gros. For the last part of the journey, I would suggest you go via Neuveglise following the instructions above, especially if you have a caravan or large camper.
